[No CP] [My Take on Cultivation] [Growing Female Lead] [Slight Ensemble Cast] [Hot-Blooded Youthful Battles] [Long Plot-Driven Story]
Everyone asks: What path can a five-element spirit root follow?
Zhu Fuguang: Don't ask where the path is just yet. First, ask where the sects are!
Widely considered to have little chance of achieving the Great Dao, Zhu Fuguang, with her five-element spirit root, was turned away by nearly every sect.
That is, until she heard that the long-declined Jixia Academy was still willing to take in disciples with five-element spirit roots.
Zhu Fuguang: There are countless sects in the world. The best sect is the one willing to take me!
But after entering the academy, she realized she had still underestimated things.
The use of spirit stones was forbidden within the academy. Everything she needed, from food to clothing, had to be earned with her own two hands.
Zhu Fuguang could only take on tasks with her eyes open and cultivate with her eyes closed.
No matter. Cultivators don't need sleep. Only the dead do.
Even so, Zhu Fuguang felt that it was far too dangerous for someone with a five-element spirit root like her to take on missions alone.
So, by a stroke of luck, or perhaps through deliberate effort,
she formed a permanent mission team with several classmates who looked like they were anything but ordinary.
Only
What? You're saying one of them is a fallen young master from a top aristocratic family?
What? You're saying one of them is a half-demon with a blood feud?
What? You're saying one of them is a suspicious person with a mysterious past?
Zhu Fuguang: ...
So she's the only one on the whole team who sincerely came to seek the Dao?
-
Zhu Fuguang was born with a five-element spirit root, and was once declared to have no chance of ever reaching the Great Dao.
Her relatives urged her to live out her days peacefully in the mortal world, while sects across the land shut their doors to her.
They all said that a five-element spirit root had no path, that this was fate.
Fate?
Cultivation itself is an act of defying heaven.
"There was no Dao in this world, so I will forge my own."
