How do you become a great Manchester United chairman?
How do you forge a Red Devil's heart?
First, you need to be the protagonist of a wish-fulfillment novel.
Second, you need to come from a wealthy family.
Next, you need to be exceptionally talented.
Finally, you need to work tirelessly.
Aaron Zhaoran Gu Cook was born the sole heir to a British earldom. His father was fabulously wealthy, and his mother held immense power. At just four years old, he became the full controlling chairman of Manchester United, destined to dominate the Premier League. He was the embodiment of everyone's dream of being born into a perfect life.
What could such a life possibly be missing?
Plenty.
His father died, then his mother died. With Manchester United short on new talent, he had to take the field himself. The club's finances were on the brink, so he endorsed products to keep the whole team afloat. He traveled around the world recruiting players, and was often mercilessly berated without a shred of dignity.
How do you become a great Manchester United chairman?
"Give everything you can."
"Whatever I have, whatever you need."
"Zhaoran, the eternal chairman.
Thank you for bringing us sixteen consecutive years of treble victories, and forty-eight championships.
Thank you for your immortal Red Devil spirit.
You are the son of the eternal Red Devil."
[Warnings] 1. This isn't a wish-fulfillment novel (probably). My own kind of happy ending.
2. This novel is fictional. If you find anything that resembles real events... that's just your imagination! (Firmly staring.)
3. The protagonist will not play for any national team!
4. No real people! Repeat after me: this is a novel, this is fiction!
5. I want to write about his twenty-nine years of life. (1984-2014)
