I Am the Biological Daughter of the Divorced Imperial Couple

The emperor and empress of the Limoris Empire had been divorced for two years when they suddenly discovered that they had a daughter out there who shared their genes.

But they had never conceived a child together. Where had this girl come from?

Then the former empress of the empire suddenly remembered: many years ago, they had undergone genetic sampling.

At the time, it had been purely for political reasons, and they had never expected anything to come of it. After all, the bloodlines of the greatest ruler of the Empire of Wind and Snow and the princess of the Kingdom of Ice and Snow were both so exceptional that the odds of them having a child were slim.

And yet a girl called "Xiaomian" existed. Most likely, someone had used their genes to conceive her in an artificial gestation pod.

More importantly, they heard that their daughter, who was not yet a year old, was now living on the streets in the slums of an abandoned planet. She had only the thinnest, most ragged clothes to wear and could eat nothing but discarded vegetable leaves.

So the divorced emperor and empress rushed to bring their daughter home.

Even if they were divorced, the child was still theirs!

The cold emperor and empress had divorced because they couldn't get along. But to keep from frightening their daughter, they had no choice but to put on smiles and pretend to be a loving couple of parents.

When Xiaomian first arrived at the palace, she was so frightened she wouldn't eat. The great ruler himself had to pull her out from under the bed, gently pat her, and softly reassure her that this place was no longer the shabby slum.

When Xiaomian was mocked by nobles trying to usurp the crown prince's position because her talent had yet to awaken, her mother, the princess of the Empire of Ice and Snow, whose talent was peerless, held her in her arms and stepped forward. She lifted her chin slightly and looked down at the noble as she said:

"This is my child. The position she holds is one you couldn't reach even if you worked for eight hundred lifetimes. What do you think of that?"

Xiaomian always felt that her parents sometimes spoke to each other with barbs hidden in their words. They were never kind to each other, and thought she couldn't tell. But whenever they turned to her, they both put on sweet, high-pitched voices and asked whether she'd slept well and whether her bunny plushie was warm enough.

A domineering, autocratic father, and a cold, beautiful, haughty mother.

But when they faced her, they both turned into sunflowers, smiling warmly at her.

How complicated!

Xiaomian didn't understand. But that was all right. Her parents told her she only needed to know that she was the sole princess of both empires.
