[Honkai: Star Rail] Beware of the Human-Machine Romance Equation

Amid the devastation of the Emperor's War, Yoserla opens her eyes beneath the bodies of her inorganic father and organic mother, who died in each other's arms. Her gaze meets Screwllum's deep-blue crystalline eyes.

Screwllum helps the battered girl to her feet.

"Why did they fall in love? Why did they adopt me?"

"Because of a love that crossed the divide between species."

The girl touches Screwllum's inorganic head, where patches of moss have begun to grow.

"Then why did they hurt each other, and finally kill me?"

"Because of the hatred that consumed the universe during the Emperor's War."

The pale sun rises behind layer upon layer of clouds, lighting their similarly colored eyes.

"What about you? What is it that you feel for me, love or hate?"

"I am intensely curious about organic emotions, but I cannot tell how I should answer your question."

"Will time give you the answer?"

"...It will."

[Notice] [Reminder] [Warning]

1. The pairing is Screwllum. Inorganic x organic. This will probably focus purely on romance and won't be very long.

2. The author would be delighted if Screwllum becomes playable before this story begins.

3. Includes some dark jokes about the two Emperor's Wars (Is it really only a few?).

4. This is a niche kink. I'm writing Screwllum, after all, so readers who need lots of content warnings are advised not to read.
