Xu Nianxia, an only child living in Hong Kong, met Fan Shiqiu, who had transferred from Macau, in September, during the golden days of autumn. They became desk mates on their very first day, and after Fan Shiqiu made an enthusiastic move, a series of romantic entanglements blossomed between them. Gradually, they realized they had fallen for each other long ago. Fan Shiqiu confessed her feelings to Xu Nianxia, and just as expected, they got together, promising to attend university in the same city.

Three years later, Fan Shiqiu had become an excellent psychology teacher, and Xu Nianxia a top lawyer. Slowly emerging from her trauma, Xu Nianxia decided to go to Hong Kong to find Fan Shiqiu. They reunited on the streets of Hong Kong, cleared up the misunderstanding, and got back together.
