(Originally titled "Crystal in the Sunshine." I suddenly feel that the title no longer reflects what I originally meant to create.) Bathed in sunlight, a crystal ball shines with dazzling colors. They met one summer evening, when he accidentally broke her crystal ball. From then on, it seemed their young hearts bore each other's marks. When they met again, he always put on a cold, indifferent front, yet he couldn't hide the stirrings in his heart... For the sake of a promise, he agreed to enter a calligraphy competition. But when he saw her with another boy, jealousy made him lose control. "Ten thousand meters. The promise you have to keep is to run ten thousand meters..." He never expected her to keep running stubbornly until the pain and exhaustion finally brought her down... Only then did he understand how important she was to him, and how impossible it would be to lose her. He vowed to protect her well: his crystal. Perhaps their love was destined to end this way. Illness was quietly taking root in her body. If she were alone, perhaps she could have lived without regrets, perhaps she could have accepted it calmly. But then she met him, her sunshine, warm and full of happiness. How could she bring herself to let go? Flowers bloom and fade, and things change while people remain gone. Only the scenes of the past are unforgettable, but who can say those days aren't the ones we remember most clearly? Hold on to the most beautiful moments of life. Keep them in your memory, because they will never fade... (Original work. Reposting prohibited.)
