Qing Luo's name sounds full of life, but she makes her living with a blade at her throat.

She's the top assassin of the Wuxiang Sect, known as "Sha." Since the day she picked up a knife at four years old, she has never failed.

Over the past sixteen years, she has killed countless people.

But she never expected that one day she'd be given a protection mission.

The Xiao dynasty has been weak for a hundred years, but now it has an emperor, Xiao Jinxuan, whose methods are ruthless and whose mind is meticulous.

Her younger sister, Xiao Jinhua, is innocent and beautiful, adored by everyone.

But she has no love for palace life and insists on venturing into the jianghu.

The once-every-five-years martial arts tournament is about to begin, and Xiao Jinhua wants to go see the excitement.

So the Wuxiang Sect receives a thousand-gold commission: protect Xiao Jinhua.

At their first meeting, she wears black and bows with cupped hands. "Suiying Sect, Qing Luo."

The bright-eyed princess gazes at her and smiles. "Oh, what a beautiful older sister!"

The princess has none of the airs of royalty. Instead, she serves Qing Luo food, bandages her wounds, and runs after her, calling her "older sister."

Qing Luo has seen many dead people, but she has hardly spent time with the living. She has never felt so carefree, so carefree that she almost forgets she's an assassin.

For the first time, when killing someone, she doesn't think about how to make them die quickly. Instead, she turns around and covers the princess's eyes.

She thinks that eyes so bright shouldn't have to see blood.

Two years later, Qing Luo receives a mission: kill Xiao Jinhua.

For the first time, "Sha," ranked number one on the assassins' list, fails to complete a mission.

The first rule of the Wuxiang Sect: Never fall in love.

Qing Luo breaks the rule and is thrown into the Infinite Prison.

The famously cheerful and innocent Princess Jinhua storms into the Wuxiang Sect, cracking her whip. Her voice is cold and fierce: "Hand over Qing Luo, or I'll destroy the Wuxiang Sect."
