Snoos is zolpidem tartrate, sold under the English brand name Ambien.
Zolpidem is an imidazopyridine hypnotic. Half a tablet is enough to knock you out, as if you were drowning in a sea of sleep or lying on the tracks of a train bound for heaven.
Ye Wensi x Li Rubin
Ye Wensi is a hearing person. He quit his job and secretly boarded a metal train bound for Sichuan and Tibet, without telling anyone.
He wanted to be like Haizi, tending horses, chopping wood, and traveling the world.
After seeing everything there was to see, he would leave it all behind, walk alone through the snow, take Snoos, and imagine himself lying on the tracks, bound for heaven.
Li Rubin is deaf and volunteers at a temple. When he counted the travelers and realized one was missing, he found a person in the snow.
Ye Wensi realized that Li Rubin would always notice when he disappeared, and come find him.
Li Rubin realized that Ye Wensi would always listen when he spoke, and talk with him.
Stranger, I wish you well too.
May you have a brilliant future.
May your lover become your spouse.
May you find happiness in this world.
I only wish to face the sea, with spring flowers in bloom.
One person without speech meets another. One lonely island meets another.
Maybe when winter comes, I'll continue writing and finish this on the journey to Lhasa.
