A Ghostly Encounter

Granny said not to go near the old house behind the mountain.

But I refused to believe in bad omens.

I provoked that thing.

I have to leave Qiwu Mountain.

But why did he follow me anyway...

-

"A-Yuan..."

Every night, he whispered it in my ear, his icy hand closing around my ankle.

I don't know what he looks like, or even what he is.

Not until my life started getting strange...

The signal in my rented house kept cutting out, and the stray dogs in front of the breakfast shop barked furiously at me. An old scavenger spoke to the empty air beside me. I began to notice bruises and red marks appearing on my body for no reason...

-

I returned to Qiwu Mountain. I had to find out the truth.

I pushed open the heavy door, thick with dust. The walls were shockingly covered in unknown red paint, and bold, sweeping strokes of writing came into view, their lines as sharp as ironwork.

A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, A-Yuan, you're mine, you're mine, you're mine, you're mine, you're mine, you're mine, you're mine, you're mine, you're mine, you're mine, you're mine, you're mine, you're mine, you're mine, you're mine

The door behind me slowly shut. A chill crept down my back, terror flooding over me from head to toe. Once again, I heard his voice.

Low and tender, his warm breath brushed the side of my neck.

"A-Yuan, you're back."

"Then never leave again."
