After countless campaigns, the wicked dragons that had once dwelled on the kingdom's borders and threatened its people were finally slaughtered to the last.

When the silver dragon Euls finished his century-long exploration and returned home with news of a new habitat, all he found was scorched earth and the shattered bones of his kin.

In despair, he descended into madness.

As a corrupted evil dragon was about to destroy the human capital, the late-arriving pope presented an oddly shaped egg.

The evil dragon stopped its world-ending spell the instant it saw the egg.

It was a living dragon egg.

Question: How does a single male dragon learn to incubate an egg from scratch?

Thank goodness, the little dragon was healthy.

...She was just a little too active.

Watching Sang Lina parkour across his back, chew on the tip of her tail, and run around roaring and spewing fire, Euls shook his dragon horns, now draped with the jeweled necklaces she had hung on them. He took a deep breath and breathed a scorching flame capable of destroying an entire village

Then used it to roast her dinner for the day.

His sharp dragon claws, capable of tearing through metal, gently pinched the food as he sprinkled some seasoning on top.

Hmm, looks pretty good.

The evil dragon thought with satisfaction.

Little dragons always grow up, but Sang Lina never lost her enthusiasm and energy.

Once everything had settled, the dragons who had returned from the dead had one question on their minds:

Sang Lina, the first Red Dragon Dragon King, who had saved them all and led the dragon clan to victory in their revenge, had firmly rejected every male dragon who had confessed to her, whether beautiful or handsome. She had even publicly declared, "I've already chosen my mate!"

Who? Who could it be?

The curious dragons looked around, then turned to see

The silver dragon, once so rational and solitary, gently spread his wings for their Dragon King and performed an awkward courtship dance.

Hmph, another dragon who doesn't know his place. So what if you personally incubated and raised her? The Dragon King already said she has a mate...

Wait.

...She accepted?!

[A resilient, outgoing younger heroine heals a darkened, older male nanny]

[At heart, this is a cozy story about raising a nonhuman child. The writing is simple, with a focus on romance and a wrapped-up HE. There will be no infuriating plot where someone blindly forgives everything, so please don't overanalyze it.]

Both leads are each other's first and only love. The hero brings the heroine (as an egg) home to incubate in the very first chapter.

The hero dotes on the heroine unconditionally.

The leads are not related by blood. Before the heroine comes of age, their relationship is purely familial. Romance only begins once she is an adult, and their love story unfolds in the bonus chapters. (Repeating this three times: romance only begins when she's an adult! When she's a little one, it's purely familial!) The male nanny label describes his role, not his being her actual mother!

This is a story written to indulge my preferences, with lots of original dragon lore.

The heroine takes the lead in the romance. Readers with lots of dealbreakers or extreme character favoritism, please don't read.

Theme: A harmonious family brings prosperity.
