The first part of this book is titled "Lm Midsummer I" and is divided into three sections: "Mo Xun's Story," "Zheng Kuixi's Story," and "Xia Yaxi's Story," followed by an afterword. The characters span quite a range of ages: Mo Xun's memories at twelve, Zheng Kuixi's memories at fourteen, and Xia Yaxi's memories at twenty-two. In these words, love becomes the pain, confusion, happiness, and longing that each stage of life brings us.
