A Zhu grew up in a Miao village. When she turned eighteen, she became the village’s Holy Maiden and was granted permission to leave the village once.
After leaving, A Zhu met a man who said his name was Zhu Yu.
His eyes were bright with curiosity as he asked her, “I heard people in your Miao village all know how to use Gu. Is that true?”
Zhu Yu was the most beautiful person she had ever seen. His lips were red, and he smelled so nice. She thought she might like him a little.
A Zhu had always heard her mother say, “If you meet a man you like, tie him up and bring him back to the village.”
That was what her mother had done to her father. But her father went mad and died.
Watching Zhu Yu kneel on one knee to wash her feet, A Zhu thought it would be such a shame if someone so beautiful went mad and died.
So she tried to scare him. “It’s true. If you’re given a love Gu, you’ll never be able to escape for the rest of your life.”
Until Zhu Yu took the initiative and said he wanted to go back to the Miao village with her.
A Zhu agreed. Her gray eyes fixed on him as she bit his lips until they bled, then said something that sounded completely inexplicable to Zhu Yu: “Zhu Yu, I won’t let you die.”

He tried every way he could to escape and get away from her, calling A Zhu a freak. He... he was a man. How could she do that to him...?
A Zhu couldn’t understand. She had been so good to Zhu Yu, so why did he keep trying to run away, just like her father?
Would she really have to give him a love Gu before he would listen to her?
After this happened again and again, A Zhu finally grew tired of it and let Zhu Yu leave.
But Zhu Yu looked at her with even more resentment than before, as if she were a faithless woman who had abandoned her husband and child.
He angrily muttered that A Zhu had put a love Gu in him, and that he would die if he left her. Where else could he go?
How despicable.
Then he obediently lay beneath A Zhu.

3. Everything about the Miao village is made up by me and has nothing to do with Miao people. I made it all up for fun. There’s no logic to it.
