It's almost over, and I'm gradually losing my nerve. Once I've finished posting it, I'll revise the whole thing when I have time.
[Fake domineering older woman and a real, uh... bear-training story]
This is the story of a village chief who seems fierce but is shy inside, and a Black Bear Spirit who seems cute and is cute inside.
By good fortune, Zhu Zhi transmigrates from a college student into an ancient village official, and not just any official: she's in charge of a big village with five or six hundred people! She earns the villagers' respect through her own efforts, though she is a little nervous about it.
She has the villagers build waterways and reclaim the hills behind the village, but accidentally catches a little black bear.
It's black and fluffy, has no father or mother, and loves to gaze at her with big, blinking eyes. She thinks she'll raise it, then release it back into the mountains.
The little bear is very clingy. It likes being held by her and squeezes onto her bed to sleep, too. Zhu Zhi has no choice but to put a rope around it and lead it around like a dog.
As the village she leads gets better and better, they make their way to a wider world: the city. But it's not what she expected! And later, what terrifies her even more is...
One day, the bear actually turns into a human. Zhu Zhi frowns. Did she transmigrate into a purely ancient world...?
And this bear...is it the Black Bear Spirit from Journey to the West?
The wheat-skinned man with black hair stares at her, that same pitiful look appearing in his eyes again...
She plants her hands on her hips. "You! You're still going to follow me?!"
The male lead's point of view:
He was a little bear who had run away and ended up here. Then he met someone who was completely different from all the other people he'd known!
She stroked and held him like his parents did, and even made food for him. She changed the name he'd had before, but...he liked her so much...
In front of other people, she was cold and distant, but behind closed doors she called herself Big Sister.
But why wouldn't she let him call her that after he turned into a human?
The little bear couldn't quite figure it out, but as long as he could stay by her side, that was enough.
Others of his kind came along, too. He didn't like her petting them, so she could only...pet him like that instead.
They went through so much together, and she helped him accomplish something very, very important.
The little bear had heard that love was the most important human emotion. Actually, animals and humans were alike in that regard. His father and mother had loved each other very much.
The little bear wondered if he'd fallen in love with this person.
He carved a statue of her with his own hands, then added one of himself.
The storm raged and the world changed again and again. He placed her statue in a cave and kept watch over it day and night.
Even though she was gone, the little bear thought he would stay by her side forever.
But one night, a voice appeared in his mind, and at last, he closed his eyes too.

Zhu Zhi walks across campus. There are so many new students today, being that it's the first day of term. She clicks her tongue. So noisy. She'd better hurry to the cafeteria and get her favorite braised pork.
Wait, who is that person up ahead?!
She rushes after him, disbelief in her eyes. Isn't that her little Black Bear Spirit?!
Both leads are each other's first and only love. No content warnings.
Theme: Live life to the fullest! Keep moving forward every day.
Love the cute little bear!
