Li Zhixing sped down an empty street in a bright red sports car, whistling into the wind. She cranked the music up as loud as it would go, but the speakers kept playing a leisurely folk song, completely at odds with their situation.
Li Zhixing suddenly reached out and covered Tao Baodi's ears. At that very instant, a bullet grazed the back of Li Zhixing's hand, drawing blood.
“Or... do you want to be mine?” Li Zhixing asked again, as if she hadn't noticed.
“Is there a difference between the two?”
Tao Baodi looked at Li Zhixing, a little confused. Li Zhixing was the student council president herself. Wasn't joining the student council the same thing as being hers?
“There is.”
Li Zhixing laughed loudly and crunched the lollipop in her mouth.
“The student council's job is to maintain world peace. Are you interested?”
“Not really.” Tao Baodi shrugged and answered honestly.
Li Zhixing dodged a bullet fired from behind the car, then swept her sword backward, sending a flash of light through the air. In an instant, the car chasing them burst into flames. Her expression unchanged, she said calmly,
“As for me, all I want is the truth.”
“Are you interested?”
