You Lanyue was playing Taiji Palace with her friends. After they defeated the final boss, everyone's screens went black.
Thinking the server had crashed, they started joking that Xishanju's server room had caught fire again. But in the blink of an eye, they found themselves in a strange world.
The world was desolate. They couldn't see a single living person on the surface, because everyone had moved underground.
Just as they were worrying about how to survive, the game System bound itself to them.
It even came with a Homestead System. They had joked before that if they could ever bring a virtual item into the real world, they would choose the houses in their homesteads.
As it happened, their golden finger was the Homestead System.
And so began their journey of farming, fighting monsters, leveling up, and finding their way home.
