ZukaFuji: Only Because We're Strangers

Some people are destined to meet because of certain events, at a particular time and in an unpredictable place. They go from strangers to familiar faces, and from strangers to people who know each other well.

Love isn't something you have from the start. Friendship isn't something you're born with. Family ties are destined from birth, but that doesn't mean the feelings between family members will necessarily be good.

The relationships I want to explore are the love, friendship, and family ties between them.

I like using understated writing, light descriptions, and gentle words to express the characters I love.

I don't like sad stories, but when I finish reading one, I always feel a pang of heartache.

A reader suggested changing the title to Just Because We're All Children. Haha...

Because they're all children.

Anyone can be a child. Even Tezuka, with his cool and distant personality, was called a child by Fuji. Who can't be a child? Anyone can be a child who only wants one particular person to care for them.

This is a coming-of-age story. I've written down a lot of thoughts about growing up in it. After finishing, I realized that I had grown alongside the children in the story.
