Shen Yanqing is a carefree rogue immortal who wanders wherever she pleases. With exceptional natural gifts and immense magical power, she is nevertheless caught in a scheme one day, stranded in the mortal realm and stripped of her cultivation.
As long as she can make it back to her sect, there will be a chance to turn things around.
But the journey home is fraught with danger. Shen Yanqing runs into trouble again and again, only to be rescued each time by the same woman. At last, she deigns to take a proper look at her.
The woman is strikingly beautiful, with exquisite features: a rare, aloof beauty in this world.
After spending a little time together, Shen Yanqing is surprised to discover that the woman likes women. So she makes an offer: "Hey, beautiful, want to get married? It was love at first sight for me."
The beauty thinks it over for a moment, then readily agrees.
Do you think Shen Yanqing is that shallow?
No, no. She just values the beauty's formidable powers and wants her help getting back to the sect.
At long last, they return to the sect. Just as Shen Yanqing is about to announce her relationship with the beauty, a crowd of immortal masters and elders swarms around her, pushing Shen Yanqing aside.
Immortal Master A: "You finally found your master."
Shen Yanqing is struck as if by lightning. Stiffly, she turns to look at them.
What... Her newlywed Daoist partner is actually her disciple?!!
Only then does she remember that she does indeed have a disciple. She had left everything in her disciple's hands long ago, and they had not seen each other in a hundred years.
Shen Yanqing has no choice but to put on an act of a loving master and filial disciple. Then, in the middle of the night, she sneaks into her disciple's room. Unfortunately, before she can question her, she is imprisoned instead.
Long, strong fingers roam over her body, then clamp tightly around her throat.
Just before losing consciousness, Shen Yanqing faintly hears her good disciple say:
"Master, I want you dead."
