[Journey to the West] More Than Human: Her Ninja Monkey

Chen Xuandu had finished learning martial arts and was waiting to leave the monastery as soon as she came of age, ready to roam the martial world. But on her eighteenth birthday, her master suddenly gave her a letter and told her to reunite with her mother, who had been taken by a villain.

Chen Xuandu thought, I knew I had a story to tell!

She hurried to Jiangzhou, only to discover that her mother was Yin Wenjiao, daughter of Yin Kaishan, the current prime minister.

And her father, Chen Guangrui, had survived falling into the water eighteen years ago!

Only then did Chen Xuandu realize that this wasn't a martial-arts story at all. It was a mythological tale!

She wasn't the future iron-headed hero Chen Xuandu, but a gender-swapped version of Chen Xuanzang!

Well... she really did have a story to tell...

1. The female lead is a lovable goofball! She's cute, energetic, and kindhearted, but her thought process is a mystery, which makes her come across as a little...

2. Wukong and Bajie are both human in this story, which is a heavily reworked Journey to the West. Feel free to take a look, as long as the setting doesn't put you off!

3. Couple: Wukong.

Theme: Kindness is a beautiful quality
