The Oddly Odd Daily was the only newspaper to invite Cassie for an interview after she revised her resume for the seventh time. So despite the vague email from them, which sounded downright like a pyramid scheme, she got in her car and set off, seeing as the balance in her bank account was dwindling.

She had prepared herself well in advance, ready to face a run-down, isolated newspaper and a bunch of conservative, backward colleagues.

As it turned out, she had worried about all of that far too soon.

Her most urgent task now was to find the way to the newspaper office.

When Cassie politely asked an old woman sitting on a bench for directions, the woman replied, "Hmm... A newcomer, a newly captured star. You came from a faraway place... Yes, the orbits of the stars have shifted. Changes must be made. Today... I shall return early."

With that, she stood up decisively and walked away, leaving Cassie rooted to the spot, staring after her as she disappeared into the distance.

"What was that?" Cassie muttered to herself. "Performance art?"

And after the only human she could ask for directions (or at least someone who looked human) had left, the one who helped her find the newspaper was... a sunflower growing by the roadside?

An old man with pure white eyes, a tiny flower fairy hiding behind a sunflower, an eccentric pie-shop owner, an overly enthusiastic dwarf baker, and a harpy boy with a human mother, soaring through the sky and brimming with youthful energy... This was how Cassie's new life in Oddtown began.

An all-female world: everyone who walks on the ground or flies in the sky is female.

Small-town daily life full of comical chaos.
