● Short story, not paid
● A not-quite-real farmer vs. a very fake unemployed drifter
Blurb:
It was raining the evening Ren Yin and Ke Yu met.
At the gathering that day, they sat at the two seats farthest apart, diagonally across from each other. Their eyes never met, and they exchanged only two lines.
Ren Yin: "I'm a farmer."
Ke Yu: "I'm unemployed."
Later, after everyone had left, Ren Yin got up, sat across from Ke Yu, and asked if she wanted to kiss.
She said yes.
So they kissed in the evening rain. Ren Yin sat on Ke Yu's lap, and Ke Yu held her by the waist. Ren Yin said her legs were too tense, and Ke Yu said her waist was trembling.
[Little fish, little fish, where do you swim now?
In the sea.
The winds are strong and the waves are high. Who knows when I'll return.]
Theme: Forge ahead bravely.
