After a career setback, former narcotics officer Peng Le unexpectedly rescues Shen Long, a national security agent under attack. He discovers that the unsolved case that drove him out of the force three years ago is connected to a conspiracy by the transnational crime syndicate "New World." Forced to join forces, the two close in on the truth amid a dockside shootout, an office break-in, and the hunt for a mole, only to discover that one of Peng Le's closest relatives has also been drawn into the case. Together, the two heroes fight a vast criminal network, clear their names, and protect their country.
