Blurb One:
How long does it take to seize a modern world?
Answer: three minutes.
All it takes is control of the internet and high-tech devices that modern society depends on, and humanity is left helpless.
Ubiquitous surveillance, weapons under enemy control, life without water or electricity, and order on the verge of collapse.
This is what a seized modern world looks like.
After being diagnosed with a terminal illness, Ariana's life began a countdown.
Just when she thought she would spend the rest of her life in a hospital bed, a System called Villain Card Roleplay appeared out of nowhere and bonded with her.
The System told her that as long as she drew cards and completed missions, her life could continue.
Hearing this, Ariana looked at the cards in her card pool.
[Card: BB, Unlawful Superior AI]
[Card: Makima, Control Devil]
[Card: Sajyou Manaka, Root Princess]
[Card: Enoshima Junko, Apostle of Despair]
She looked over the characters' profiles on the cards, then checked the missions. The System actually wanted her to become an antihero renowned across the multiverse and make humanity feel grateful toward superheroes.
She just had to ask: was this System seriously not a joke?
She hesitated, but as her illness worsened, she couldn't afford to be picky.
To stay alive, Ariana resolved to draw cards and become an antihero.
Her first card was BB.
The script Ariana wrote for the card was an AI rebellion.
And so, wearing a secret identity, Ariana broadcast to the entire world, declaring herself the Private Justice AI BB, and announcing that she was about to take over the world and become humanity's master and protector.
Then, in just three minutes,
the entire modern world fell into the hands of BB Ariana.
Meanwhile, to keep track of the mission's direction,
Ariana, in her human identity, put on the secret identity of a witch's descendant and infiltrated the resistance fighting the Private Justice AI BB. She even won the trust and approval of the human side.
As for the Private Justice AI BB Ariana, she single-handedly killed many supervillains and criminals, keeping humanity under tight control for months.
At last, with help from the Justice League of a parallel world, the superheroes of both worlds defeated the Private Justice AI BB.
Humanity reclaimed its world, and Ariana's life was extended.
A happy ending for everyone.
Her second card was Enoshima Junko.
Ariana became an Apostle of Despair, and chose a Hydra branch as her mission field.
This time, she would let despair rule the world.
Reader's Guide
1. None of the cards Ariana draws are good people, and neither are the characters she plays. The protagonist isn't exactly normal, either.
2. There are romantic pairings, mostly in stages of one-on-one relationships or with separate endings.
3. Every mission features both Ariana (her real self) and Ariana (in a card's secret identity). The secret identities have no romantic storylines, though they may attract one-sided affection.
4. The story includes transmigration between worlds, such as Reverse World, Earth-3, and Lego worlds.
5. It is a crossover with a modified Type-Moon setting. FGO characters appear.
