Synopsis
On a snowy night in the 23rd year of Yong'an, when Shen Zhiwei, the daughter of the guilty minister, was escorted into Yeting, she still had half a piece of cold osmanthus cake in her arms. It was given to her by the seventh prince Xiao Che under the palace wall three days ago. At that time, his eyes were filled with the warmest moonlight in the capital, and he said that he would marry her when she was old enough. But in the blink of an eye, the blood of the Taifu Mansion was stained red throughout the imperial city. Shen Zhiwei fell from the clouds into the mire and became a maidservant who could be bullied by everyone. However, on a rainy night, she was dragged into a dark room by a masked man. When the cold dagger was pressed against her throat, she saw clearly the face that was exactly the same as Xiao Che's - it turned out that the seventh prince had a twin brother who had been secretly raised in the dark guard camp since childhood, named Xiao Jin. "Do you want revenge?" Xiao Jin's voice was colder than Han Tie's, "Be my knife, and I will let you cut out the hearts of those people with your own hands." Shen Zhiwei became the sharpest blade in Xiao Jin's hand, sneaking into the imperial concubine's palace to steal secret letters, pretending to be a dancing girl to assassinate traitors, and even shot an arrow at Xiao Che's horse in the hunting ground. She looked at her former lover's shocked eyes when he fell off the horse, and dug her fingernails into her palms, but she didn't know that what was hidden in Xiao Che's sleeve was the evidence to overturn the case for Taifu. The situation in the palace changes. Xiao Jin helps the third prince to seize the throne, but switches sides at the last moment and supports Xiao Che to ascend the throne. Shen Zhiwei finally obtained the irrefutable evidence that framed the Taifu, but found out that the culprit was actually his uncle whom he had never met - Zhongliang, who had been vindicating the Shen family's grievances in the court. What made her collapse even more was the truth that Xiao Jin whispered in her ear: Xiao Che's proposal to marry was true, but it was this obvious affection that became the ironclad evidence for political enemies to attack the Taifu for forming a clique for personal gain. Xiao Jin approached her not only to take advantage of her, but also to protect the star that once made his heart beat for his brother who had been weak since childhood. On the day when the new emperor ascended the throne, Shen Zhiwei stood in front of the palace gate in her wedding clothes. On the left was Xiao Jin who was holding a sword and wanted to kill her, and on the right was Xiao Che who was reaching out to hold her. Burning evidence suddenly rolled down from the city tower. In the light of the fire, she could clearly see her uncle's sinister smile before he died, and she could also clearly see the same struggle in the eyes of the two princes. This love and hate that started out as a conspiracy will ultimately end with blood and fire. Purpose: redemption
