[What kind of sparks fly when history meets football?]
On a blue planet, many nations stood side by side.
Football, the world's number one sport, originated from the ancient game of cuju. Its rules changed several times over the years, until it developed into the mature modern football system we know today. Throughout history, it has always played an important role on the world stage.
The beginning of modern football was marked by the decline of the Xia League, Shang League, and Zhou League. Before that, these three nations formed the Yellow River Holy Alliance, which dominated the football world. As the times changed, however, Xia, Shang, and Zhou lost their influence over economic and military affairs. The birthplace of football became little more than a ruin in the wake of their defeat.
The collapse of the Holy Three Alliance briefly ended football's reign as the world's number one sport. But after the Great World Revolution, the Seven Nations rose rapidly, and the world entered an era of peace and prosperity. The Seven Great Nations and numerous smaller countries formed the World Federation, and modern football was reborn in this fertile new era.
In this story, the author attempts to showcase the appeal of modern football by tracing the history of change in the Seven Great Leagues.
Note:
1. This entire story, including its premise, is fictional. Don't expect to find a single truth or fact here.
2. This world only involves some countries from history, and does not involve foreign countries. It is a small, entirely fictional setting, so don't apply ordinary logic to its timeline, characters, or geography.
3. This is a fictional world with a broad setting, mostly built around jokes. If I have time to continue it later, I may start another story using this setting and choose a person as the protagonist, possibly the coach of the Qin national team.
4. I wanted to write about football originating from cuju, but I'm afraid someone might actually believe it, even though I've said countless times that it's all made up.
5. Using jokes doesn't mean I'm making fun of anyone. I'm a fan of three struggling teams myself (and two other really weak teams). I've completely made peace with things by now.
6. If you have ideas, you can help me build this world.
7. Updates will be irregular. This is a short story, planned for eight chapters at this stage: the Seven Great Leagues and the history of the Yellow River Holy Alliance. See you if fate allows.
