When you enter Hogwarts again as a new student with blank memories, you choose to keep your distance from the familiar sights and old friends.
You have come to find the memories you lost at Hogwarts, to complete the plan you were forced to abandon ten years ago, and to uncover the secrets of time within you.
Then you cross the lake by boat and see the black spires of Hogwarts.
The Sorting Hat settles on your head and calls out the obvious: "Ravenclaw."
Whether it's your distinctly Eastern features or your unusually calm expression, you stand out among the new students.
You sit with all the other newcomers at the Ravenclaw table, watching the remaining children get sorted with a touch of weariness. You can feel curious eyes on you from every corner. They've been there since the moment you set foot in Hogwarts, but now there are even more of them.
You hear the pages of your sketchbook turning. In fact, ever since you set foot in Britain, it has seemed far too excited.
When the Sorting Hat has found a home for the last student, your gaze follows everyone else's toward the headmaster, and then you enjoy your first meal at Hogwarts.
Calmly putting a piece of cut egg into your mouth, you hear the rustle of turning pages stop for the first time. It has opened to the first page of the 1989 Hogwarts chapter, waiting for you to write.
The following is the author's rambling.
2025.9.8...
At first, I just wanted to escape the pressure of research for a bit, so I casually wrote about my characters being affectionate with each other, some cozy everyday moments to comfort myself.
Later, I realized the story had naturally grown into something fairly complete, so I posted it. It is a farewell to that period of my life, and an expression of my hopes for the characters to live happily.
I took leave and shut myself in my dorm room to write for two weeks. As my thoughts branched out, I started going back to fill in the gaps. If you spot any plot holes or contradictions, I would really appreciate it if you pointed them out, so this very sudden idea can have a good ending.
I hope everyone has the power to take up a pen and change their own fate, and the eyes to notice the happiness in life.
The story is now complete. This is my first time writing, and I wasn't sure what update schedule would be best, so I chose to post a little each day. I hope you enjoy it.
2025.10.6 update...
Finishing this novel on the Mid-Autumn Festival wasn't my original plan. I just suddenly realized that a month had already passed, and wanted to seek a sense of completeness on this day.
The author's birthday is coming soon.
I hope my life and my novel will be as worth celebrating and as happy as today.
For psychological reasons, I put my research aside a while ago, and may have little to do with it for the next year, so I have been given a long period of rest.
This is a decision, and something I owe myself, even if this ending, like the novel, doesn't look all that perfect and even feels rushed. But books have final chapters, and everything eventually comes to an end.
Rather than lamenting, we should keep moving forward.
This novel carries a lot within it. Perhaps for various reasons, I didn't put too much of my real-life emotions into it.
But Lin Yue's memories are also the author's hopes.
I thought for a long time about what I wanted to say in the ending, but in the end I let the idea go.
Anyway, happy Mid-Autumn Festival, my darlings.
May we be strong and happy.
Theme: Love, and see.
Each has its own pros and cons. Maybe Western divination can't break the established destiny? After all, only those in the East can change their destiny by living with krypton. The prophecies of the West will make you move closer to the future [][]
