Synopsis:
My dear, has the person you love ever loved you in return?
No. So I'm taking my heart back.
[An awkward, jealous, love-struck young general × a free-spirited, forthright woman physician from the martial world]
More than a decade after they first met, Wen Qingrou falls in love at first sight with the young man who saved her in a moment of danger.
Sadly, they parted in a hurry, before she could even learn his name.
Luckily, only a few days later, she discovers that he is the fiancé to whom she was betrothed as a child.
At the time, Wen Qingrou thinks happily, "This must be a match made in heaven!"
But how can everything in life go as we wish?
After they marry, she conceals her carefree nature, learns to handle household affairs she dislikes, and endures gossip, confining herself to the household in the hope that one day the man she loves will look at her the same way she looks at him.
But in the end, all she hears is, "I don't like her."
Outside the room, Wen Qingrou lifts her head, trying not to let her tears fall, but in her heart, she has already made up her mind.
Leng Zhaoxi's words have jolted her awake. You can't force a melon to be sweet. She should have woken up long ago from this one-sided dream.
"Now that we're divorcing, I wish you a wife you love, and a marriage filled with affection and harmony."
She thinks their story ends there. But later, on the night of the Qixi Festival, beneath a sky full of fireworks, Leng Zhaoxi grabs her wrist and refuses to let go. "I'm not letting go. Our parents arranged this, the matchmaker brought us together, and you saved my life. We were made for each other. I was out of my mind before. I was wrong, Qingrou. Please don't leave me."
Leng Zhaoxi has known since childhood that he had a fiancée, the girl who pulled him from the river in the bitter cold of winter. Without her, he would have died.
He is grateful to her and willing to reward her generously and protect her, but he is unwilling to marry her.
Yet they marry in the end.
At first, Leng Zhaoxi thinks, Fine. I'll consider it repayment for saving my life.
But little by little, she finds her way into his heart. By the time he realizes it, he is already deeply in love.
Leng Zhaoxi thinks that since she is already his wife, they have all the time in the world.
But no one will wait in the same place forever. The girl who once had eyes only for him eventually gives up on him.
After the divorce, he watches as other men gather around her. With no claim to her, he can only beg humbly. "Qingrou, I know I was wrong. Please don't leave me."
"Qingrou, look at me. I'm handsome too."
"Qingrou, don't smile at him. I'm so jealous."
1. They divorce from the start, and the male lead has to chase his wife back. The heroine is the author's darling and doesn't suffer at all after the divorce!
2. The male lead is a younger, jealous guy. One-on-one romance, both leads' first relationship, happy ending.
3. The leads' names were inspired by the Song dynasty poet Yang Wanli's poem "The Little Pond": "The spring's mouth quietly cherishes the thin stream; the tree's shade over the water loves its gentle brightness."
Synopsis of the next novel:
On her twenty-second birthday, Qi Zhaoyuan has a dream.
On a rainy night, a heavily pregnant woman stumbles through the darkness, fleeing a group of black-clad men chasing her with drawn blades.
When the woman falls, the green jade begonia hairpin in her hair tumbles to the ground. Blood and rainwater splash onto it. Across the void, their eyes meet, and Qi Zhaoyuan clearly hears the woman's voice: "Zhaoyuan, I'm Wen Sui'an."
For years afterward, she wakes from this dream countless times, almost unable to tell whether it is an illusion or reality.
Then, four years later, during the Lantern Festival, she sees the green jade begonia hairpin from her dream with her own eyes at Hua'an Temple on Mount Lingkong.
At the time, a young novice with clear, bright eyes hands her the hairpin and tells her, "Benefactor, you have a karmic debt from a thousand years ago that remains unresolved."
That night, Qi Zhaoyuan enters the dream again. This time, she doesn't see Wen Sui'an. Instead, she sees a man with the image of a green begonia flower on his wrist.
She cannot make out his face, but she clearly hears his voice: "Sister..."
Smoke and dust fill the dream, and Buddhist chants ring in her ears. When she opens her eyes again, she discovers that she has woken up inside Wen Sui'an's body.
The two of them coexist in this body.
To find a way back and uncover the killer lurking in the shadows, they face one obstacle after another together, and finally make it safely through that year from the dream.
Qi Zhaoyuan thinks this is the karmic debt she came to settle. But unexpectedly, before long, they are pursued again.
One pursuit on a rainy night, one slash, and two souls are torn apart.
The green jade begonia hairpin is broken. What special connection links these two people across a thousand years?
Where lies the answer to this deadly predicament?
"Wen Tang, is there really a love in this world that never betrays?"
"There is, A Yuan. I will love you forever."
1. An ex-husband chases his wife back, and the younger brother gets the girl.
2. The female lead is not a virgin, but the male lead is. The male lead is Lu Wentang.
3. The male lead is a fiercely loyal puppy, and the female lead always comes first.
4. A story about a broken-hearted puppy who waits years for the one he loves and finally gets his wish.
Theme: A woman should love herself before she loves someone else
The heroine is too easy to dismiss. A year of cold treatment, ridicule and jokes from outsiders was wiped out by the hero's apology. Why is the heroine so humble????? Does the male protagonist really like the female protagonist? The heroine doesn't mention the separation and the hero is still dragging her, so I won't watch it.
Looks good, looking forward to the extra episodes
Will there be any extras about the Princess, Tan Hwa Lang Hao and Jiang 💪
