As Yang Chengyu and his buddy Lu Ju headed to the JX318 anniversary celebration, they unexpectedly transmigrated into the 2025 version of the Jian Wang 3 full-dive beta alongside their nemesis, Sheng Yu.
The evil System issued two tasks they had to complete before it would let them return to the real world.
1. Perfectly clear the 25-player Heroic Taiji Palace.
Yang Chengyu thumped his chest. "That's a piece of cake! I can be a raid leader and clear it perfectly in no time~"
2. Reach the highest rank, Rank 15.
Sheng Yu twirled his pen. "Thirty-five is the prime of life. Though old, the steed still longs to gallop a thousand miles. Let's call in that top-ranked old sheep and put them to work. We can coast our way up the ranks. What could be better?"

Once they had completed both tasks, the System sounded its warning in an electronic voice:
"Evacuation failed! Alert! Alert! Heroes, please don't cheat~ And no helping others cheat, either!"
"Alert! Alert! Disrespecting the System is not allowed!"
"Evacuation failed! All three of you have to complete the tasks!"
After the System's heartfelt (electronic) pleas, Yang Chengyu and Sheng Yu tearfully begged friends and their master to raise Lu Ju with them.
From huffing and puffing through mining runs to becoming a PvP farming machine; from getting beaten into a headlong retreat to charging in with their eyes closed; from being a newbie who shrieked at the sight of a red circle to a seasoned veteran who could handle QTEs in a 25-player Heroic raid.
Kind-hearted heroes found her a master, worked out gear builds on their calculators, and patiently explained her skills. It was like retracing the path they had once walked.
