The grassland arc gets off to a slow start, so you can begin with the border town arc.
Fang Keke woke up one day in the far northwest, having inexplicably transmigrated into a ranch owner's slave. Every day, the moment he opened his eyes, he had to take the sheep out to pasture.
Slave life was miserable: too little food and clothing, and far too much work. He couldn't take it anymore. He had to escape.
To survive in the northwest, the first step was to become a free person.
The second step was to get a sheep of his own and start a small business.
Sheep are wonderful. Every part of them is useful.
Sheepskin for clothes, mutton fat for soap, wool for toys, and then sheep intestines, stomachs, horns...
Fang Keke could turn anything into a profitable product.
Gradually, his business grew bigger and bigger, until he could buy a ranch of his own and raise sheep himself.
And so he went from slave to free man, then acquired his own Keke Ranch and became a ranch owner.
Many years later, the people of the northwest proudly introduced Keke Ranch to visitors from elsewhere.
Keke Ranch was the largest ranch in the northwest, with the biggest flocks and the best mutton.
