When I woke up, my mom had become Aunt Meiji, and my dad was now Uncle Artu. I was trying to sort out how this family tree worked when my old dad, new uncle Artu, grabbed my wrist and dragged me straight outside.
"Since you know the truth, we might as well go for it."
??? Go for what?
"A rebellion." Artu looked as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "Want to kick Uncle Sultan's head around like a ball?"
Me: That's your boss, isn't it?! Aren't you always bragging that you're the most loyal right-hand man to the ninth leader of Night's Long Rise?
I don't want to kick my ghostly biological father's head, but plenty of other people do.
Uncle Flower, Uncle Dog, Uncle Muscles: they were all raring to go. If Uncle Romance hadn't been busy helping his sweetheart escape, he'd have joined in too. Luckily, I'd long ago figured this bunch would eventually tie themselves in knots. While everyone was running around in chaos, I slipped out the back door and casually swiped Aunt Meiji's "signature weapon."
Ever since then, I've followed Aunt Meiji's advice: be generous toward others, but never let your martial spirit run dry.
When dealing with the powerful, talk things over first. If we can come to an agreement, we'll cooperate wholeheartedly. If we can't, I'll let them see how the signature weapon works.
Showing it once isn't enough. I have to follow them home and lie in wait patiently, until they jolt upright in bed in the middle of the night and choke out, "Wait, why me?" Then I'll appear from the shadows and show them a second time.
Still not convinced after the second demonstration? No problem. I've got a third, a fourth, and an Nth. I'll keep demonstrating with my signature weapon until they're happy to sit down and cooperate with me.
The queen returns. Ten years is nothing! To my rotten biological father who wanted to set me off like a firework, and my cheap uncles who wanted to use me as a stand-in for their nephew, line up and wait your turn!
2026.1.28 Update
This has become more and more of a crossover, so let's just treat it as a crossover anime from now on, haha.
So far, it includes Sultan's Game, Resident Evil, and DC. I'll keep adding fandom tags if more crossovers come up.
Theme: Children can't choose their parents, but they can choose the lives they want to lead
What a novel angle to persuade people, hahahahahahaha
It looks good. It's an update.
