At seventeen, Chen Zhi was the kind of prodigy everyone envied. That year, he could have anything he wanted, and his talent was beyond anyone else's reach.
But everything changed quickly: a father who drank too much, a mother who died young, a sick younger sister, and Chen Zhi himself, beaten deaf in his left ear by debt collectors.
The fall of a prodigy went unnoticed.
Chen Zhi is now twenty-six, working day and night to make ends meet. But fate was merciless: even his sister, the one person connecting him to the world, passed away after suffering through her illness.
So, growing ever more despondent, he prepared to bury himself in the deep snow of the north when winter came.
But just as he was about to leap from a high-rise, the winter rain arrived, carrying warmth and sunlight.
Those on the brink of death will find salvation in the end.
