Growing Toward the Sun
Xu Niannian grew up surrounded by verbal abuse and cold stares. The only light in her life was the paintbrush she refused to put down, even when her grandmother called her "useless." After failing the college entrance exam and dropping out of vocational college, she thought her life was destined to be bleak. Then one day, someone pointed at her painting and said, "There's life in this." From then on, the wild grass that had grown untamed began to chase the light.
Theme: Turn toward the light. Your family of origin can't define you. Personal growth and hard work can reshape your life.
