[Signed for print publication. Follow updates on Weibo: Gun Lai Yi Ke Qiu] Le Zhishi has a crush on the top scorer in their city's college entrance exams that year. To keep up with him, she buried herself in her studies and successfully got into the same university as her crush. But in all three years of high school, she sat at her desk studying every day, and even after graduation, her crush still couldn't remember her name. Le Zhishi wasn't discouraged. She planned to formally pursue him once school started. Heaven gave her a great start: her crush's future college roommate was the twin brother of her best friend. Her best friend came through. After sharing the news, she had her brother add Le Zhishi on WeChat. As soon as Le Zhishi accepted his friend request, she sent him a photo of her crush. "Photo.jpg" "I like Xu Shu!" "Bro, I'll be counting on you to help me out!" "Red envelope: for your trouble." The two of them started chatting enthusiastically. For the first week, they mostly talked about Xu Shu. By the end of July, the topic had changed to their graduation trip, and in August, they were sharing everyday little things. As the start of school approached, her best friend asked, "Are you ready to start pursuing him?" Le Zhishi thought for a moment, then replied, "I think I'm kind of falling for your brother." Le Zhishi calmly accepted that her feelings had changed. Her affection for Xu Shu might have been mere admiration, but what she felt for her best friend's brother was real love. She felt he was her soulmate! That night, the day she came clean to her best friend, Le Zhishi took the initiative and asked, "Bro, would you consider dating me?" * In the last week before the start of the school year, Xu Shu started an online relationship. But the next second, the person who called him by name every day asked, "Bro, what was your surname again?"
