Working for the Ancestral Master

As the materialist Xu Yao lay on the brink of death, he was bound to a System and forced to take over an incense shop on the verge of bankruptcy.

Tasks: [Patch Grandma Zhang's burial shroud], [Give the headless male ghost a complete body], [Burn the beautiful ghost a paper effigy of a hunky man to her liking]...

Reward: +1 life point, extending his life by 24 hours.

Xu Yao: I get grass to eat and blood and sweat to give. Who'd want this lousy job? Let someone else do it!

That is, until he discovered that after he exorcised an evil spirit, the portrait of the ancestral master hanging on the wall had smiled.

A stick of incense and a note appeared on the table.

[Collect seven sticks of incense to exchange for one in-person meeting and receive a personal disciple's reward]

Xu Yao: "???"

Thanks, but I don't need that!
