My Rugged Boyfriend Is Way Too Scheming

Bai Tao was of marrying age, and the matchmaker introduced her to three prospective husbands.

The first worked at a supply and marketing cooperative. His family had a paralyzed mother and three older sisters. The moment they met, Bai Tao said she couldn't cook. He replied, "Men work outside and women keep house. If you can't cook, you can learn."

The second was a platoon leader with three siblings. Bai Tao had only just begun getting to know him when the matchmaker told her that after they married, the youngest daughter-in-law would be expected to stay home and care for the family. After all, her husband was an officer, so she wouldn't need to go out and earn money. She was lucky, wasn't she? She'd be able to marry into the family and enjoy an easy life at home.

Bai Tao: ...

She worked up the courage to meet the third man. His name was Min Xianhua. He had no parents, but at least he was strong. He brought a piece of meat, two pounds of sponge cake, and a sugar cube to their meeting. When he left, he even cheerfully helped her family with a whole lot of chores.

After sweating through half the day, Bai Tao silently nodded to herself: I can't go wrong if I choose him.
