Dynamic: Subordinate x Boss
After a flash of white light, the newly appointed little immortal Li Zhao completed her cultivation and successfully ascended. She landed a job on the First Heaven of the Celestial Court and became an officially registered immortal civil servant, complete with modern office equipment. From then on, she began her life as an immortal wage slave, working nine to five.
Who could have known that ascending would wipe every memory of her life in the human world? Even Li Zhao herself had no idea why she had accumulated enough merit to ascend here.
But in this lonely, helpless immortal realm, she found a little sense of belonging in the form of a strict boss.
Her direct supervisor, Shi Jin, was as cool and distant as the moon. If she weren't a boss, she would be the beautiful moonlight in the hearts of everyone on the First Heaven. Unfortunately, her life for more than nine hundred years had consisted of only one thing: work. Her fearsome reputation spread throughout the First Heaven, and her subordinates didn't dare go near her.
So a little immortal like Li Zhao, who could withstand Shi Jin's pressure, was a rare sight, worthy of admiration.
From then on, when Shi Jin said east, Li Zhao never went west. She became the good dog at her boss's side, as her fellow immortals put it, and she seemed to enjoy it too.

After Li Zhao ascended, Shi Jin finally gained a good dog who was willing to follow her everywhere, never fought back when hit, and never talked back when scolded. She found herself growing more and more pleased with her.
The dog's looks were exquisite, and after a while she even seemed cute. She was always innocent and sweet when facing Shi Jin, worked diligently, never bared her teeth, and obeyed her in everything. Gradually, Shi Jin came to accept Li Zhao's constant presence.
Meanwhile, word finally got out that the Underworld had accidentally let a vicious Earth Fiend escape, and the news spread throughout the immortal realm.
As Li Zhao listened to the rumors, each one matching the fragments of memory she was beginning to recover, her heart pounded like a drum. She had only one thought: How could she keep up the act in front of Shi Jin and stop her from discovering her true identity?
After getting used to being a dog, turning back into a great demon was surprisingly difficult.
