Dazai’s nullification ability has been enhanced. Specifically, it can nullify all “abnormal” and “supernatural” things, including making machines malfunction and rendering substances ineffective. The ability is no longer limited to touch; it creates a force field instead.

No one knows how the Joker came to be.

Just as no one knows that when the Joker climbed out of the chemical vat, he had a small medicine bottle in his arms.

When Joey was five, his mother left.

That night, his father changed a lot.

His father became a comedian and put on exaggerated makeup.

Joey wasn’t afraid when he saw his father like that, because he knew his father loved him.

His father took him to a room, where he stayed for eight years.

He longed for freedom, but he also knew his health was very poor.

At least he had his father and lots of uncles and aunts who often kept him company.

They told him about the world outside and brought him things from beyond his room.

He always thought his father and all those uncles and aunts were very kind.

Until one day, a big red jujube barged into his room.

For the first time in eight years, he left the room.

He saw the outside world.

And… his real father.

Joey is a sickly, adorable boy, and will probably remain sickly until the end.

He really is doted on by the villains (well, maybe Red Hood, the antihero, too).

It’s a sweet story.

The Joker really does love his kid, even if his love might be a little twisted.
