Lily of the Valley, who ran away from the deep mountains, arrives in a big city where humans live.
With no one to rely on, Lily of the Valley becomes the tailor on Peony Street. She learns to imitate the ladies and young mistresses, putting on rouge and dressing up.

Lily of the Valley thought she was an outsider in human society, but then she discovers that Madam Wang from the pastry shop seems to have furry paw pads, Reporter Du from the newspaper occasionally spins spider silk, and Miss Li even has a white tail with black stripes that shows when she tries on clothes...
