Small-town romance / the millennium / 10-year age gap / younger man
In his first year working away from home, Tang En'er got paid and gave He Shiyu a New Year's money packet. He gave one to He Shiyu, and one to He Shiyu's situationship. They both forgot to give Tang En'er one. No big deal, as long as they didn't bring that person in front of Tang En'er.
Tang En'er had a little money, so he took He Shiyu out for fun. He didn't have much cash, so he tried his luck at a prize draw and lost. He said Tang En'er owed him a million, with interest compounding. No big deal. It was enough that He Shiyu sent himself a few payment reminders.
Tang En'er was in the hospital when He Shiyu said he was busy on a date. Tang En'er pulled out his own IV and crawled after him, scattering funeral paper money behind him as he followed the two. No big deal. Anything was fine as long as he could ruin their date.
Tang En'er thought someone had left a hickey on He Shiyu's neck and asked if he could give him a bigger one to cover it up. He got hit, and his glasses went flying. No big deal. He said, "Isn't hitting a sign of affection, and scolding a sign of love? If you don't hit or scold me, does that mean you don't love me?"
Tang En'er didn't want to spend New Year's alone, so he went to see He Shiyu. He Shiyu was drunk, and Tang En'er used his phone to post a handsome photo of himself to Moments with the caption, "My ill-fated relationship is over. My true love is coming."
When He Shiyu woke up to a flood of notifications, he saw Tang En'er in front of him and leapt up to smack him hard across the face.
"Are you crazy? I'm your uncle!"
