Sawamura Reiyo, a Tokyo office worker who had never considered getting married or having children, suddenly received a text from her older brother in Nagano.

"Reiyo, Eijun's going to Tokyo by himself to attend boarding school. We're really worried about him. Please look after him if anything comes up."

Reiyo had only met her young nephew a few times as a child, and her impression of him had always been "a kid who loves to smile." Because that impression was so good, she agreed without giving it much thought.

When she later learned that Eijun's boarding school was right next to the house she'd just bought, Reiyo felt it was fate.

But after he officially started school,

she realized something was wrong.

"Why is that green-haired upperclassman in my kid's dorm always 'bullying' him?"

"Why did my kid come home on his first day of school and say he'd been 'forced' to eat?"

All the contradictions came to a head when she overheard one of Eijun's pink-haired classmates accidentally let slip, "Eijun's got the yips."

Reiyo abandoned the client from Italy, whose polished appearance belied how much of a pain he was to deal with, grabbed her bag, and headed to the parking lot.

After executing a perfect drift and stopping right in front of Seido High School, she stepped out in seven-centimeter heels and came to a halt before the baseball team's coach, who had hurried over after hearing what happened.

Reiyo took a deep breath. Forcibly ignoring Sawamura Eijun, who stood behind the coach with a puzzled, happy little expression, she said firmly, "I'm transferring my kid to another school!"
