Yan Le becomes a beta tester for a life-simulation game, determined to make a name for himself in Gotham, break into Arkham, become the most popular villain of the year, recruit a whole gang of minions who do whatever he says, and rise to the rank of a godfather-level boss. The first step to building an empire from scratch is starting at the bottom. The beginner’s quest is to get enough to eat. When an evil player randomly targets a helpless child for a robbery, Yan Le slides in to take him down… and slides right under the enemy’s pants. A little setback means nothing. He gets back up as if nothing happened and takes a big bite out of the hamburger in the other guy’s hand. Nom nom. You tell me, did he get enough to eat? The other guy says his name is Jason. Feeling sorry for Yan Le, he doesn’t even want to hit him, and instead takes him on as a minion. What kind of upside-down world is this? But since Yan Le can’t beat him, he quietly makes Jason his minion in his own mind. The two of them work together stealing tires, a highly efficient way to make money fast. But after just one day away, Jason is taken in by the enemy Yan Le fears most: Batman. Yan Le loses his future minion. Faced with Jason’s offer afterward to be adopted together, he flatly refuses and slips away. The player doggedly continues down the villainous path. His next small goal: join the Joker’s gang, undermine the Joker, and become his greatest nemesis… The manor burns down, and Yan Le and Tim go to investigate.
