Teenagers Cheng Nan and Xie Ye crawl out from under the shadow of extortion in an old-town alley. A black cat named Echo becomes their guide. Together, they break the truth, buried under blood and snow, into seven letters and send them to volcanoes, snowy plains, and seven cities. They light one lamp after another in the abyss, eventually bringing down the vast Whale Fall network and etching each other's names into the night sky. Green patina grows on the copper roof of the planetarium, while the sweetness of lemon soda lingers in every embrace and kiss. This story has no final chapter: they turn the abyss into light, stardust into home, and the rest of their lives into a journey side by side.
