Visiting the Old Courtyard

Old Love

In the second year of Jinghe, palace walls crumbled, jeweled towers teetered on the brink of collapse, and the faint remnants of elegant music became the distant sound of a fallen kingdom.

The northern horsemen invaded the capital, and countless horses thundered against its gates.

Emperor Jinghe took his own life atop the lonely wall, his blood staining the ramparts as he gave his life for his country.

On the incense table in the ancestral temple lay a fragment of a manuscript, offered in tears to his deceased wife.

1. A short BG story written to fill a plot hole. Tragic ending.

2. Childhood sweethearts, married young, fate playing cruel tricks, and a heartless imperial family.
