Ilex was bound to a System. After completing the tasks it gave him, his wish was not to change his fated death, but to meet the god who had created him.
And so Margalia entered the fictional world she had created.
Margalia was originally a novelist, but at the moment she finished her story, an electric current carried her into the fictional world she had created.
The good news: the protagonist had already reached his ending.
The bad news: Margalia had written a male-led story with a bad ending and no romantic pairing. Her male lead had no official love interest, no friends or family... nothing at all. In short, his life was one long tragedy. She had abandoned the story without filling in many details, barely mentioned a lot of the characters and settings, left the foreshadowing unexplained, then hurriedly ended the novel by giving her male lead a death sentence.
“Ilex can only wait for death, all alone in the old castle.”
That was the novel's final sentence, and that was how the story ended.
But then something unexpected happened. Just after she finished writing the last chapter, a powerful force carried her into the novel she had created.
After successfully avenging the knights, Ilex was deeply corrupted by darkness. All he could do was await death and loneliness in the Black Forest.
In the story, Ilex was kind and gentle, yet his own parents sold him into slavery. After several years, he finally managed to escape and was eventually adopted by a kind knight. He had never done anything wrong. He followed his master's teachings, treated the world with kindness and gentleness, and cheerfully helped others.
But in the end, because of a dark mage's slander, his master and everyone in the Knights' Order were cursed to become magical beasts and driven away. Once again, he lost everything.
As one knight after another marched toward death, he alone, filled with resentment, searched for the truth under the guidance of a “god.” Even as darkness consumed him, he never thought of giving up.
At long last, he defeated the black mage who had brought down the knights. But he was gravely wounded too.
All he could do was quietly await death in the Black Forest, and the “god” who had guided him toward revenge could no longer be reached.
His master had once told Ilex that a knight's mission was bestowed by the gods.
Every time the darkness inside him consumed a little more of him, he wondered: If gods truly existed in this world, why was the one who created him so cruel? Why give him beautiful things, only to take them away in the end, and make even his own death so painful?
He endured the corruption again and again. Just as he thought this was all his life would ever be, he was suddenly told that the world was fake and that he was merely living inside a novel.
At the same time, he was given a chance to meet the god who had created him.
But when the System brought his god into this world, he had little time left. He spent only a few days with her before dying, still filled with regret...
Then something unexpected happened. After his death, he was bound to Margalia in the form of a spirit, unable to leave her. The System he had been bound to also transferred over to Margalia.
“Complete your tasks and you can have one wish granted.”
That was what the System bound to Margalia told her.
Having been transported into this world, Margalia naturally wished to return to her original one. So she asked the System what her task was.
“Become the queen who rules over the six provinces...”
Though reluctant, Margalia still set out on the path to becoming queen. And the first place she had to rule was the continent of Ora, where she had spawned.
But to become the ruler of this continent and country, she needed powerful magic and a legitimate claim to the throne.
So Margalia entered Seraphim, the most prestigious magic academy in the entire country, to study magic... Then she discovered that the plot was wrong everywhere she looked. It seemed she had ended up in a fanfiction...
[The heroine is transported into a fanfiction based on her own novel]
[There is a live-commentary System]
[The heroine is not a good person. The male lead is kind and gentle by nature, but becomes twisted and scheming later on]
[The male lead dies early in the story and has no physical body. His spirit inhabits the heroine's mind and cannot stray too far from her]
Everything is made up. Any similarities are purely coincidental.
Theme: Study hard and improve yourself every day.
Thank you to heaven, thank you to earth, thank you for your hard work~
