"My weapon is intuition, and my prey is the truth." - Lu Xiaoyu
Lu Xiaoyu, captain of the Lin Yun City Criminal Investigation Squad, has a secret: he possesses an almost supernatural instinct for solving cases. At a crime scene, he can spot the most out-of-place detail at a glance. In the interrogation room, he can sense even the slightest lie. One cold case after another is solved under the guidance of his inexplicable "godlike intuition," making him a legend in Jiangcheng's police force at a very young age. That is, until the provincial department sends over Ji Zhuo, a meticulous criminal psychology expert. Behind gold-rimmed glasses and in a perfectly tailored suit, he believes only in data and logic, and can't stand Lu Xiaoyu's "mystical approach" to solving cases.
Neither will give way to the other. They can't stand each other.
"Captain Lu, what does your intuition tell you this time?" Ji Zhuo asked, wiping blood from his lenses, his voice still calm.
Lu Xiaoyu stared at the unusual detail at the scene that only he had noticed, then slowly tightened his grip on his service pistol. "It tells me..."
