Gu Yun is the "perfect teacher" in everyone's eyes: gentle, responsible, and always sunny. He devotes all his energy to his students, yet no one knows how exhausted and hollow he feels inside, like a lamp about to burn out, existing only to light the way for others.
Shen Yu is a freelance artist curled up in his own world, solitary, silent, and cut off from the rest of the world. A devastating blow made him lose trust in others. He builds walls with his paintbrush, like a wounded animal rejecting anyone who comes near.
A commission for a school mural brings their parallel lives together by chance. Gu Yun knocks on Shen Yu's door with a professional smile, only to be met by the strong smell of paint and a cold silence. Shen Yu warily sizes up this seemingly flawless "sun," yet sees through the weariness hidden beneath his perfect mask at a glance.
One struggles to express himself; the other is used to hiding.
One pours pain he cannot share with anyone into color; the other hides wounds no one notices behind a smile.
In a room piled high with paintings, messy yet full of life, they awkwardly begin to draw closer. For the first time, Gu Yun discovers that someone doesn't need him to "play" perfect. For the first time, Shen Yu tries to let someone past his walls.
This is a story about two "patients" healing each other. When a weary lighthouse meets a silent island, can they become each other's light, illuminate the path ahead, emerge from the shadows of the past, and paint a truly hopeful future together?
