Do Zombies Have Dream Ships Too?

[Everyone's Favorite, Free Short Story, Hope You Enjoy~]

A strange light fell from the sky, and the apocalypse began. Amid the chaos, Xin Bai lounged on his bed, surveying his fully stocked supplies and chuckling to himself.

He had been reborn, back to one week before the apocalypse.

This time! He was going to reclaim what was his: time to laze around.

But disaster struck. Inside his tortoise-shell-hard house, Xin Bai spontaneously turned into a zombie.

Xin Bai: ...?

Fortunately, he was still conscious and hadn't developed a taste for blood and flesh. Xin Bai went back to lounging on the little bed in the attic.

It's fine. There's only a one-character difference between lazy bum and lazy zombie. Same thing, same thing.

Zombies appeared without warning, and chaos spread everywhere. Among the survivors, people with special abilities emerged. They gathered in small groups, worked together, and established bases.

Pei Shaoyuan was one of the rare ability users with an offensive power. As team captain, he kicked open the tortoise-shell-hard front door.

Xin Bai jumped up from his bed in fright. At least he was in the attic. They probably... wouldn't find him, right?

After a long stretch of clattering and banging outside, Xin Bai pressed his ear to the door to listen, fretting over his supplies. At night, thinking they had left, he quietly opened the little door.

To his surprise, the place outside was quite tidy. Xin Bai was silently counting when, all of a sudden, he saw a figure moving on the bed.

In an instant, the glare of a blinding flashlight swept over him.

"Aaaah! Don't kill a zombie!"

"I'm a good zombie!"
