Macarthur
Douglas MacArthur (January 26, 1880 - April 5, 1964), often called "McArthur" in the Chinese-speaking community, was a famous American military general. He was awarded the title of five-star general in 1944 and served as a field marshal of the Philippine Army. In the 1930s, he served as Chief of Staff of the U. S. Army and was one of the main Allied commanders in the Pacific War. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his service in the Philippine Campaign. He and his father, Arthur MacArthur Jr.
