Great Tang’s Return to Allegiance 归义大唐
Zhaoyang Dayuanxian昭阳大渊献Historical1.5M WordsCompleted
In the second year of the Dazhong era, 848 AD, Zhang Gongyi Chao led an uprising, driving out the Tubo forces that had occupied the Hexi region of the Great Tang for over a century. He reclaimed eleven prefectures in succession and brought them back under Tang rule. This became known as the Guiyi Army. Fifty years later, the Great Tang, ravaged by eunuchs, warlords, Huang Chao, and other calamities, was on its last legs. The Guiyi Army was besieged on all sides, with only three prefectures left.
