Cultivation Novels with No Romance and a Rating Above 9

Are there any stories about a disciple whom the protagonist raised from childhood, following the same methods used to raise another disciple, only for that disciple to leave the protagonist covered in wounds, causing them to eventually give up on the disciple? I'd prefer something that emphasizes respect for one's teacher and the proper moral order.
