I watched the TV series adaptation of the same name starring Chen Xiao and Chen Jianbin. I thought the plot was very interesting and the TV series alone was not enough, so I came to read this novel of the same name. The beginning was very suspenseful. Thirteen years later, Lu Xingzhi was already a veteran criminal policeman with a lot of experience and became the team captain. After seeing the way the victim died and the layout of the murder scene, he remembered that the modus operandi was similar to the first case he encountered as a criminal police officer thirteen years ago. It seems that for thirteen years, the case has not been solved, and the master and the apprentice have been on the road to track down the murderer. But since then, it seems that there has been no trace. While the master was chasing the murderer, he had to take a back seat due to family reasons and gave up the pursuit of the murderer. He has been working as a criminal police officer. Thirteen years later, I thought I was going to solve an unsolved case, but suddenly the same method of committing a crime appeared again.
